The MarkBook in ClaSS is an effective tool for staff to record and organise assessment information about their students. All the assessments collected, across all teachers and subjects, are all there for easy access by anyone in curriculum management. Here are a few examples of how ClaSS helps you report on all that data to track student progress.
Related assessments are grouped together as an “Attainment Profile”. For any profile using NC Levels there is charting functionality, which makes it quick and easy to get an overview of the results for a class or even a whole cohort. Here's an example of the chart being used at Key Stage 1:

The above example plots the results of four assessments over the course of a year for one class, where the size of the dots on the grid indicates the number of students achieving at a given NC Level. The progression over the year (going from bottom to top) is immediately revealed by the shift in the dots from left to right with more students achieving higher levels. The coloured backgrounds act as a guideline, with white indicating the target achievement band. A degree of interactivity is also possible on these charts: it's demonstrated in the training video how this has been used to highlight individual students within the context of a cohort.
The assessment profiles allow for many different kinds of plots and charts. Developed in consultation with academic staff in one ClaSS school here's a very different example for analysis of GCSE grade performance.

It provides for both student-level monitoring of A*/A and A – C grades at regular intervals during the course, and for summary percentages of A*/A and A* – C at subject level. View the full example of the sheet.
Another example now from Early Years, where evidence of a child's development is recorded against the the Foundation Stage Profile. Counting these stepping stones of achievement provides indicators of progress in key learning areas.

Compare these different custom templates with those at the start for KS1 and it gives an indication of how flexible and powerful the templating system can be.
